Loesje wants to keep on surprising the world
The international part of Loesje moved to Berlin two years ago to enlarge the activities. The activities have been growing in the meanwhile and it isn’t surprising when you see posters on the streets of Latvia, Georgia and Nepal, all signed by the name Loesje. In spite of this success there is a risk that the developments will alter due to the lack of sufficient financial means.
For 2007 Loesje receives operational support from the
Youth in Action Programme of the European Commission.
Within projects Loesje is cooperating with Oxfam Novib, The Council of Europe, the European Cultural Foundation and the World association of newspapers.
These are all important supporters but Loesje can use more supporters.
The way Loesje looks at the world and society with humour and a critical note is especially a success among young people in countries where democracy is developing.
Loesje is searching for people that want to support her financially so that she can keep on surprising the world. She strongly believes that her work is essential and the way she operates and her texts are unique and clearly contribute to opinion forming and expression among (young) people.
For 2007 projects connected to ‘freedom of speech’ and the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) are planned to fight poverty.

Due to the increase of activities there is more work to do but at the same time there isn’t more money to finance the basic costs and by that to support the activities.
The MDG project will be done in cooperation with Asian countries and one of the supporters is the international development organisation Oxfam/Novib.
In last years project connected to ‘freedom of speech’ more than 500 young people from over 28 countries participated and created an inspiring book in 1 day.
