Five years ago Loesje moved its international office to Berlin. Activities have been expanding outward in all directions; it not being unusual to encounter Loesje’s posters on the streets of Georgia, Latvia, or Nepal.
For 2010 Loesje receives operational support from the Youth in Action Programme of the European Commission (EACEA) and The Council of Europe and has received a donation from the Triodos bank. For projects Loesje has the last years been cooperating with Jugend für Europa, The Council of Europe, the World Association of Newspapers, HIVOS, Oxfam Novib and the Erasmus Huis.
Loesje’s unique critique on society, combining social conscience and humour reaches people all over the world, and is especially a success among young people in countries where democracy is developing.
As an NGO, Loesje is constantly struggling for survival, and searching for funds to initiate wide-reaching and original new projects. Loesje’s work is vital, and helps to strengthen youth participation and self-determination in today’s society.
Current projects include a project with the passport project which looks at borders, their limiting effects, and intercultural encounters and a gender and racism awareness exchange. If you want to read more about Loesje’s activities you can download the latest Year Report.
You can give a donation directly to the bank account and later on there will be an easy access way to donate online:
