New face on Loesje International

Dear Loesje member,

I would like to introduce myself to you. I know you care about Loesje. I do too and I feel privileged that I just started to work for Loesje International  here in Arnhem, so I can sometimes have lunch with her.

My name is Ralph, wanderer and historian by profession. For several years I lived in Amsterdam but now I have found a nice spot at the place where Loesje grew up, not far away from the German border. International trains arrive here all the time. So in between the green hills, forests and chattering geese we have this inner urge to look further. And you can be sure that I will do my utmost to spread Loesje’s word across every border possible, because my territory will be Loesje International. Though I'm a bit afraid of deserts (too hot) and swamps (too slippery).

First thing I would like for my new job is knowing you. What are you plans for today? Or in other words: What does Loesje means for you? How did you help her in the past and what will she do next?  Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have a great or any other idea that she should know about. She will listen and I will try to help. If you would like to discuss her sometimes strange behaviour that can also be arranged. Questions about practical issues can also be addressed to me by sending an email to ralph@loesje.org. You can also contact  me at facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Ralph.Wanderknut.

Loesje has always inspired me and probably always will. May the moment arrive that when I will be bold and toothless she will still be dancing in front of my eyes with wonderful texts. As historian I like to wander around old ruins, in the hope that I will find a Loesje Poster from before 1983.

But apart from that I’m still new on the job International. So I would really  appreciate your help as well and that could be on a lot of different fronts.  Printing Loesje posters and spread them around good public spots is always a good thing, but it would also be great, for instance, if there will be a new International Loesje serie each month with four or five inspiring texts from all over the world. I could certainly use help selecting (and translating) them. With a Loesje International twitter account we can also mobilize a lot of people.    Bringing thought into action. The same goes for organising writing sessions and other cool Loesje activities such as projects. A lot is already happening because of you and I love to know everything about it. If you know other Loesje members who are not yet a member of our facebook “The secret of the International Loesje members”, it would be cool if they could join us.

Together we can cross borders without getting wet feet. And maybe one day we can meet each other in real life.

I hope to hear from you.

All the best,

Ralph
