We invite young people who have an interest in circus and have (predominantly) already been involved in circus and/or would be interested in finding out about further education and career opportunities in circus. However, we would also love to invite people who don't have much experience in circus but do have an interest in it and are interested in taking part in the project and learning new skills/meeting new people.
We will be offering practical workshops (juggling, contact improvisation, and caribbean carnival drumming) and there will also be theoretical presentations on circus pedagogy education, theatre pedagogy, and social work, and how these areas can be linked with skills already obtained in circus.
The project will take place between the 21st - 24th June and will cost 40€ to take part. For that participants get accommodation for 3 nights in our circus in Berlin, breakfast, lunch and dinner for the duration of the project, the full programme including workshops and presentations, the chance to perform at our open stage, and much more! We also cover travel costs to Berlin up to the sum of 100€.
